iMessage
Can anyone explain to me why my current phone number won’t connect to iMessage? I just switched from an XR to an 11 and my phone number doesn’t work for iMessage.

Your number may not be enabled in iMessages. Go to:
Settings → Messages → enable iMessages.
If iMessages is enabled, try disabling it. Turn off your iPhone and turn it back on. Remember you must have an active SIM card with your number in your iPhone 11, if your SIM card asks for a PIN code when you turn your iPhone back on, remember to enter it in order for your SIM card to connect to your Carrier. Also connect to Wi-Fi, then go back and re-enable iMessages and wait. It may take some time before your number is registered.
