If you no longer want to store your photos in iCloud, you can turn off iCloud Photos on that device. How to turn off iCloud Photos will walk you through those steps.

It's very important that you ensure your original photos and videos are all downloaded to your iPhone before you disable iCloud.

Before you turn off iCloud Photos, make sure that you have all of your original photos and videos on your device. To download the original photos and videos:

• On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos and select Download and Keep Originals. Keep your device plugged in to power and connected to the internet.

When all of your photos and videos are finished downloading, you can disable iCloud Photos on your iPhone.

Before you turn off iCloud Photos, be sure to make a copy of your photos and videos. 

1. Go to Settings, then tap your name.

2. Tap iCloud > Photos.

3. Deselect "Sync this [Device]" to turn off iCloud Photos.
