Is it safe for a MacBook Air 2020 to run Minecraft?

Hi

My daughter wants to play Minecraft on MacBook Air 2020.

So I downloaded it for her but when she was playing it the fan started to run, and didn't stop until she quit the game.

so I'm wondering is it safe to play Minecraft on the Mac.

Hello HannahJane01,

This page can help out with providing some details regarding the fans and fan noise in the Mac: About fans and fan noise in your Apple product - Apple Support

About fan noise
If your device's processor is working on intensive tasks—such as compressing HD video, playing a graphics-heavy game, or indexing the hard drive with Spotlight after you migrate data—the fans run faster to provide additional airflow. You might hear fan noise when this happens, especially if you're in a quiet environment. This rushing-air sound is a normal part of the cooling process.
Ambient temperature, the temperature outside the device, also plays a role in the fans' responsiveness. If the ambient temperature is high, the fans turn on sooner and run faster. Learn more about the operating temperature of Apple laptop computers.

Cheers.

Hello HannahJane01,

Yes, it's OK for your daughter to play Minecraft on Mac. There are some tips you can implement to help keep the Mac within normal operating temperatures. These tips can be found in the article shared by Eric _G1, About fans and fan noise in your Apple product - Apple Support

Tips to manage the operating temperature:
* Make sure that you’ve installed all Mac software updates.
* Use your Mac laptop where the ambient temperature is between 50° and 95° F (10° and 35° C). Don’t leave your Mac laptop in your car, because temperatures in parked cars can exceed this range. You should also use your Mac laptop where the relative humidity is between 0% and 95% (noncondensing).
* Use your Mac laptop on a stable work surface that allows for good ventilation. Don’t use your Mac laptop in your bed, on a pillow, or under bedding.
* Don’t put anything over the keyboard.
* If your Mac laptop has ventilation openings, don't put anything into them.
* Use only Apple-authorized power adapters.

Thanks.
