I bought the new iPhone 13 Promax and I noticed that when I come to take pictures it’s really zoomed in or zoomed out since I only have the option of using the 3x or 1x so I wanted to ask if there is a way I could use 2x in portrait on iPhone 13 Promax ?

We understand that you'd like to have different zoom options when taking pictures in portrait mode with your iPhone 13 Pro Max. Use Portrait mode on your iPhone explains that the zoom options in portrait mode specifically are based on the hardware of your iPhone, so that is not a setting that can change.
You can use normal mode to control your zoom more specifically, as outlined in Take great photos and videos - Apple Support.
