How do I stop images from loading in emails I receive?

How do I stop images from loading in emails i receive? They suddenly started appearing automatically.

Email Content Not Downloading Correctly Various emails will not download photos or other graphic content. It is totally random. Sometimes an email will download content and when I return to it, the content is not there and will not download. I have attached a screenshot of an email. Those colored blocks are photos. If I click on the block the photo appears but reverts back to the colored blocks almost immediately.Second photo is the same email 30 minutes later.

Images not loading in emails from mailing lists Images are not loading in some emails which are from mailing lists I've subscribed to. They display fine when viewed on my iphone - just not on my imac which shows an empty space with a question mark inside a blue box. Any idea what's going on, and how to fix this? Thank you!

We just looked in our own Mac, and we don't see an option for loading/not loading images for new email in the Mail app settings. If you'd like to provide Apple feedback about this for consideration, you can use this link: Product Feedback
