Call records/ history not sorted

Does any one know how to sort call records/history for any number/ name.

iPhone 12, iOS 16

You can sort by "All" or "Missed" calls, but not by name or number: View and delete the call history on your iPhone - Apple Support

Call history, iPhone features Is there a way to sort call history by contact or telephone number? I know there isn’t. How poor iOS telephone is comparing to other system. If you start manually to enter phone it doesn’t hints from call history either. For me it is pure negligence. It would cost also to have maybe old but useful T9. First feature (better accessed call history) is so important in business as if I miss a call I would like to know if I ever talked to this number….other is a matter of ergonomic..iPhone is such a great gadget but so poor phone.

Call history Hi, how do I find out the call history for a specific contact please? When I tap on recent calls, then select the contact name and info, it only lists the most recent call details made to/ from that contact. What I need is the very first date a call was made to that name on my contact list. Thank you charlotte

You may be able to download your call history from your account on your carrier's website. Check to see if you can download it as an XLS or CSV file. Both can be opened by a spreadsheet program. Those are easily sortable.
