native apps moved from Home Screen to apps library

My wife noticed this morning that her native apps (Calendar, Maps, Settings, etc.) have been moved from the Home Screen to the apps library. When attempting to move them back by tapping the icon in the apps library, the only options are to do something in the app (e.g., create a new event in Calendar) or delete. Any idea how to return the native apps back to the Home Screen?
