Hi
- Close Final Cut Pro if it is open.
- Open the Finder and navigate to the "Font" folder. You can do this by clicking on "Go" in the menu bar, selecting "Go to Folder" and typing in "/Library/Fonts" or "~/Library/Fonts" (without the quotes).
- Find the font that you want to delete and select it. You can select multiple fonts by holding down the "Command" key while clicking on the fonts.
- Press the "Command" and "Delete" keys on your keyboard, or right-click on the selected fonts and choose "Move to Trash" from the context menu.
- Empty the Trash to permanently delete the fonts from your computer.
Once you have deleted the fonts from your system, they should no longer appear in the font menu in Final Cut Pro. However, it's important to note that deleting system fonts can potentially cause issues with other applications on your computer, so make sure you only delete fonts you don't need.
Can I go to the font book and make it inactive?
By deactivating a font in Font Book, it will no longer be available for use in any application, including Final Cut Pro. However, the font will still be installed on your computer and can be reactivated in Font Book at any time if you need it again in the future. This can be a good option if you're unsure whether you will need the font in the future or if you want to keep it installed for other applications.
