My watch face doesn’t come on when I lift my wrist. How do I correct?

My watch face is black most of the time. I have to push side button to activate face to light up. It was on before and got brighter when I lifted towards my face. How do I fix? Where do I go to correct?

Try opening control center and seeing if Theater Mode is turned on. If that doesn’t work, try opening watch app on your iPhone and click display and brightness and turn on Wake on Wrist Raise.
