How long will the Apple store hold my items for pickup?

I have ordered a number of apple products to be picked up from the store. Some of those products have already been delivered to the store and are available for pick up., however some of the items will only be delivered in 3 weeks. I don't want to make several trips to the store (as it is quite away) - how long can the store keep the items that I have ordered and which have already been delivered?

I also tried to find a live chat to ask to hold on those earlier items until all items are delivered, but the apple website is very unfriendly and I could not find a chat option for online purchases. As far as I understand, there are a number of other people unable to chat. In my view, that is ridiculous for the largest company in the world to have such a convoluted website without readily available chat option.

The store generally keeps items for 3 - 5 days max. You can use the online chat at the apple store to talk to them about it.
