iPhone 14 Plus iOS 16.4 Battery Drain

I recently purchased an iPhone 14 Plus and updated it to iOS 16.4. However, since the update, I have noticed a significant decrease in battery life. My phone is draining its battery much faster than before, even when I am not actively using it.

I have tried restarting my iPhone and checking the battery usage stats to see which apps are consuming the most power. I have also disabled background app refresh and location services for apps that I don't use frequently. Unfortunately, these steps have not resolved the issue.

I am reaching out to the Apple community section for assistance in resolving this problem. Has anyone else experienced similar battery drain issues after updating to iOS 16.4? If so, have you found any solutions or workarounds? Apple should take necessary actions. why a trustable company do like this to its customers?

I do know this…

Y’all got super strange iPhones, my battery’s doin’ great on my 14 Pro… screen was on playing music all the time I was at the gym.

what I found is that I get better battery life if I reduce the frequency of mail fetch and turn off most of the apps that do background app refresh.

you don’t have to be on your phone to use battery… YOUR PHONE IS ON ALL THE TIME, and therefore must use battery life… so reduce the amount of background activity… like not leaving a bunch of apps in the background when you go to the Home Screen 🤣

hope this helps

May The Lord bless you and keep you all!

I have a 12 Pro Max and there is no always on setting. I have the same issue, battery on 16.4.1 does not last. It seems that this happens a lot after an update and not just for a couple of days. This issue seems to be worse than the last battery drain after an update. I usually upgrade phones every other model. I didn't this year as I have a sneaking suspicion that the lightning port is going away. I'm betting that iPhone 15 will use usb C. The EU mandated that all phones must be usb C. I doubt Apple will have lightning for US and USB C for Europe.
