Severe Eye Strain due to OLED PWM Dimming

Hello , i have been using iphone for 10 years or so and with changes after iphone X which uses OLED , i am really unable to use my iphone due to PWM dimming which causes severe migraine and dizziness for me in 5mins. I have been stuck on iphone 11 due to LCD panels but i am worried whats going to happen in future since LCD is gone now. Can Apple implement DC dimming via software Update? i have tried 14 pro and it had same problems even though flicker has been reduced but doesnt help. I tried every accessibility option like reduce white point , keeping 100% brightness.

No one here in this user-to-user forum would know what Apple can or will do. However, you can let them know your concerns here:

Don’t think the 15 models are any better! I tried the Plus for 3 days. Seemed like it was better but then my headaches and eye strain came back. Really was hoping it would be better but it’s not. Went back to the 11. Looks like I may be jumping ship to Samsung soon if they don’t update a dimming solution or make an LCD phone for us sensitive eye people

Also I noticed if you use another phone camera and hold it to an OLED screen phone with a white screen you can see the lines scrolling down on OLED phone! I noticed the lines kinda disappear when brightness is lowered to about 50%. But everyone else says keep brightness at 100% the use white point. Really didn’t do much for me. I’m willing to try and buy another 15 and try something else if anyone has any ideas, even though if it doesn’t work I have to pay a $50 restocking fee!

any suggestions?!?!

I am switching from an OLED phone to an LCD phone. The iPhone SE 3rd Generation released in 2022 has an LCD screen. This iPhone SE 3 phone is in the same group display at the Apple Store with the iPhone 15’s and iPhone 14’s.

I converted the data yesterday, I am pleased with the picture quality. The phone is small but has good clarity. It has rounded edges which remind me of the Galaxy phone I liked that I was converting from back to an iPhone.

Note worthy, I saw several posts where people said they were going back to their iPhone 11 because of getting headaches/migraines with the iPhone 14. Turns out the iPhone 11 is also an LCD phone.

Apple and Verizon have been very helpful while I was sorting this out.
