5g not working after updating to 16.4

Im having the identical issue except I’m on a 14 Pro Max. It’s maddening

As it's a cellular issue, contact your cellular carrier for assistance.

I have. They had me do a bunch of stuff. Reset my network on their end. Says everything looks great on their end.

If it were great on their end, you wouldn't be experiencing the issue; if it were an issue with iOS 16.4, we'd see a huge number of posts from people experiencing the same issue.

Have you tried traveling several miles away to determine whether you see 5G from other cell towers?

I am not able to access to the 5G after I upgrade my phone in 16.4.1. This issue as occurred recently and and the indicator is stuck as LTE and not showing any 5G. I have already contacted my service provider, and they have done the troubleshooting and the issue is only about the updated version of iOS.

Your service provider is incorrect.

There are literally millions of users with the same device running the same version of iOS using 5G without issue on their network.

I think you are incorrect. I am having the same problem with iOS 16.4/16.4.1 I even changed from eSIM to Physical SIM. The network is good enough. I cannot see 5G standalone toggle though. It's Apple problem. The same issue is happening with both my SIMs. All over the city.

Agreed l! I’m using iphone 12 and before update of 16 (major update) i was able to switch over 4g to 5g and even there was option to run 5g as standalone.

iOS 16 allows you to shut off 5G under "Cellular Data Options," but that is all.

If you cannot connect to 5G networks it is a configuration issue with your account in your cellular provider's system or a tower issue.

If it's on multiple towers we are back to an account issue.

If you have a physical SIM, make sure it is one that supports 5G service, not all do.

Simply put, if it were iOS, it would be broken for everyone.

Have you installed the latest carrier settigns update?

1. Make sure that your device is connected to Wi-Fi or a cellular network.
2. Tap Settings > General > About.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions to install your carrier update.

Just fixed mine, turned on airplane mode, restarted it phone, turned airplane mode off, back to normal

When you do that, it causes the cellular network to resync with the capabilities of your phone.

That's why when you go from a cellular plan without 5G to one with, carriers tell you to do the same - shut off your phone, wait several seconds, then turn it back on.

I tried everything nothing works. In the voice & data options before there was showing standalone option and now it is not showing after updating to ios 16.4.1

please show how to solve it if there is any solution
