5g not working since iOS 16.4 upgrade

I have noticed that after the iOS 16.4 upgrade on my iPhone 13 Pro Max that the Verizon 5g cellular network is not connecting. It is stuck using LTE. Prior to the upgrade I had 5g cellular network connection. I have restarted the phone, reset network settings, and checked that 5g auto is chooses in the cellular network settings. Nothing seems to bring back 5g.

iOS 16 allows you to shut off 5G under "Cellular Data Options," but that is all.


If you cannot connect to 5G networks it is a configuration issue with your account in your cellular provider's system or a tower issue.


If it's on multiple towers we are back to an account issue.


If you have a physical SIM, make sure it is one that supports 5G service, not all do.


Simply put, if it were iOS, it would be broken for everyone.
