After updating to Ventura 13.3 the screen goes black for 2-3 seconds and then returns to normal

Does anyone have any issue since this update that when you turn on your laptop and put in your password when it goes to the home screen the screen goes black for maybe 2-3 seconds then goes back to normal and everything otherwise is completely fine?

This does not happen when you wake up. Only when rebooting, turning off and then turning on the laptop.

Hello! If I get you right, when you try to enter the password before the flickering, then the screen may turn black for 15-20 sec, right? The thing is I observed the same thing - if I enter the password before the flickering and don't enter the system but just enter the symbols in the password line, then the screen may turn black for not 1 sec but about 20 sec.

If screen goes black, close display and open it again. Funny thing is, the screen goes black when the Mac or display is not asleep. How do I know ? Reduce or increase the brightness. The black level goes brighter or dimmer.

I'm thinking it's a Ventura 13.3/13.3.1 software incompatibility with 3rd party software. Has the black screen happened to anybody using just plain Apple software ? For the past 2 days, the black screen stopped happening. I turned off graphics acceleration in Thunderbird mail. But today, I needed to use WhatsApp. After using it, I closed the MacBook and headed out for lunch. I'm typing this as we speak.

Lo and behold, black screen came back when I opened the MacBook lid. But this time, I had to close and open the lid twice to normalize.

All my applications are standard. And the black screen hasn't gone anywhere.

These are developers' mistakes!

The most important thing is that this does not lead to iron breakdown. An error in the code can lead not only to the appearance of a black screen)) The main thing is that this "black screen" does not become a "blue screen of death", as in Windows 😄. That's when there won't be much fun.
