After using my above steps, my keychain is on Safari on my phone, but none of my app log in's transferred over. I did get a message after the transfer that X number of passwords couldn't be transferred. Still, at least I don't have to go searching anymore for any of my internet passwords.
Apple used to have an option for me to choose what keychain I want to use. That option no longer appears on newer phones.
