A tab in Chrome lags my navigator

As soon as I open the Google Search Console in Chrome, my browser is lagging a lot and I can't even work on GSC smoothly, it is lagging a lot.

It's an m1 pro with 16 Ram it shouldn't lag like that, that's never happened in my old Asus Laptop

Any Idea why?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 13.3

This is driving me to madness, I have tried many laptops no one has this issue and when I upgraded to M2 so I said this is a new laptop so the problem shouldn't appear but AGAIN the same issue.

Please I need some HELP HERE!

It seems to me if it followed you from one machine to a new machine— it would be a third party app issue/user account issue.

What did Google Chrome support have to say?

Delete chrome if necessary and start fresh, no plug-in, no extensions, default settings and compare your results.

To trouble shoot further you can:

—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

—A SafeBoot How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Takes a bit longer to get to the login screen, does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, including dynamic loader cache, font cache, etc., third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled.

Login and test. Reboot  as normal and test.  Caches get rebuilt automatically.

This test will tell you if third party interference; most* extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

unplug all third party peripherals

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/VPN/Anti-Virus

Sounds like third party...(?)

Try a different browser if that is your issue, or reach out to Google Chrome Help

Apparently, it seems like it has something to do with my iCloud account, here is what I did:

I followed your first suggestion to create a new user account with a different iCloud ofc, and I reopened my email and synchronized everything (extensions, history...) then I tried GSC and the problem wasn't there.

But in the new iCloud account, I've made some simple settings changes like disabling the transparency, Siri, and Zoom... but after checking the GSC it works, I tried to enable all these settings again, and GSC still works fine.

I tried disabling these settings in my old iCloud (the one with the issue) the problem is still there!

I don't know what setting could be causing the problem! I've tried disabling and enabling "low power mode", but nothing!

Do you have any ideas?

I found on the internet that the problem has something to do with the Google search console, not the machine "as I believe", but one of the tips I found is to enable the Chrome log to see what problems appear, and here is what I found:

"Error in cpuinfo: sysctlbyname("hw.packages") failed: Operation not permitted

Error in cpuinfo: sysctlbyname("hw.cacheconfig") failed: Operation not permitted

2023-04-02 00:21:08.762 Google Chrome[7378:99414] IMKClient Stall detected, *please Report* your user scenario attaching a spindump (or sysdiagnose) that captures the problem - (imkxpc_deadKeyStateWithReply:) block performed very slowly (2.23 secs)."

I don't know if anyone can read this or has experienced something like this.

Yeah, it's third party but when I compare the situation with my friends that have the same laptop performance they don't have the same issue.

I've tried other navigators but the issue still exists.

I've tried to disable "Use hardware acceleration when available" but nothing, I've tried to use safe mode again nothing, I tried to reset my mac from the setting, and again nothing.

I've reached out to chrome but no answer yet :'(
