Hi P. Phillips.
Thanks for your reply. My apologies for delay--I guess there's no notification system (or I don't know how to activate it) to know when someone replies.
I only meant that whatever I'm working on disappears and what I see is the desktop screen. A jiggle or movement of my hand returns me to whatever I was viewing or working on before it disappeared. I have since done some tweaking of touchpad sensitivity and so on, and I'm not noticing the problem as much, but honestly, just about everything I try to do is a whole new learning curve and I'm trying not to waste anyone's time asking lots of questions here! LOL.( Like yesterday I spent ages trying to figure out why the shortcut Shift+Command+Down Arrow would not select the rest of my MS Word document and selecting had to be done one line at a time. Lots of searching later I found a setting somewhere in MS Word to restore defaults for shortcuts and that worked, but I had to stumble on it. So the problem apparently wasn't even with my MacBook, but something to do with Word or the interface between the two. Every day is like that with one thing or another. LOL)
On the whole, I'm really enjoying my new Mac!
Thanks very much for reaching out to help and for the F4 tip. That's very handy to know. Cheers!
