Apple Watch Not Showing Shared Activity

I have several friends that I share data with. They can see my activity and I see there's. I have a new friend that can see my activity but I cant see theirs. I have unpaired my watch several times, updated my watch, erased apple watch content and settings and I still cant see their activity. They have a series 8 and I have a series 5. However my watch will not allow me to "reset sync data". What should I do?
