Why don’t iPhones remember the call forwarding number anymore? They used to, back when Jobs was running the company. And don’t answer by telling me how call forwarding works. Seems like it should be as simple now as it was back then simply to store the forwarding number rather than force you to re-enter it every time you engage call forwarding.

Hey whose side are you on anyway? Unless you’re saying the carrier has coerced Apple into forgetting the call forwarding phone number, there really can’t be any good reason except lazy programming. I note that the number does not get lost if the call forwarding setting screen is still active after I turn off call forwarding. Then it’s just a matter of clicking the button back on and there’s the old number, just like in the good old days.
