Why isn’t the QR code showing up?

My TV has been giving me the error code that “there’s a problem connecting for playback” so I reset the app and now it says there was a “problem signing me in” whenever I try to sign back in. Last time I had this same problem but I got around it by just signing in via QR code but now it’s not giving me that option.

Please try to sign into your Apple TV using these steps:

"To open Control Center, press and hold the TV button on the Siri Remote or Apple TV Remote.
Select Add User and follow the onscreen instructions." Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support

If you are still unable to sign in, Contact Apple Support directly. They will be in the best position to support you.
