Hi janeia64,

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. We understand your Safari searches are showing on your daughter's iPad. You may consider creating an Apple ID for your daughter would prevent any of your data from syncing to her device. This article explains how if needed: Create an Apple ID for your child.

Or you can turn off iCloud for Safari by following these steps:

On your Mac, do one of the following:

    • macOS Ventura 13.3 or later: Choose Apple menu  > System Settings, click [your name] at the top of the sidebar, then click iCloud on the right. Below Apps Using iCloud, click Show All, then turn off Safari.
    • macOS Ventura 13 to 13.2: Choose Apple menu  > System Settings, click [your name] at the top of the sidebar, click iCloud on the right, then turn off Safari.
    • macOS 12 or earlier: Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, click Apple ID, click iCloud, then deselect Safari.

Also, you may want to make sure Handoff is turned off. This article explains more about this: Pick up where you left off with Handoff on Mac.

"Turn Handoff on or off

Note: If a Handoff option isn’t available on your device, it doesn’t work with Handoff.

  • On your Mac: Choose Apple menu  > System Settings, click General  in the sidebar, click AirDrop & Handoff on the right, then turn “Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices” on or off. (You may need to scroll down.)
  • On iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch: Go to Settings > General > AirPlay & Handoff, then turn Handoff on or off."

We hope this helps.

Take care.
