Issues sending group Whatsapp messages via Siri.

How do I fix an issue, where I am unable to send, or reply to, whatsapp messages sent from a group chat?

I have updated iOS and I have un/reinstalled the app, but each time I use the siri function to send a whatsapp message to any of the groups, I receive some form of "oh no, there's been a problem, please try again".

Thanks

iPhone 11

I have found a partial solution. It has so far fixed the issue of sending to groups but not sending replies.

On the iPhone I went into Settings - Siri & Search - WhatsApp

and then toggled *off* the top and bottom options

"Learn from this app" and "Use with Ask Siri"

Then instruct Siri to send a message to a group.

Then Siri says "I'll need to access your WhatsApp data to use the app. Is that OK?"

I say or select "yes" [It then switches back on 'Use with Ask Siri']

Then it will allow me to dictate/send a group message as normal.

But this doesn't stop the issue with replying to other messages.

Same issues. Siri is pretty much useless with WhatsApp after whatever updated occurred. You can not say "siri whatsapp <group name>" as it just throws an error response "oh no, there's been a problem". Also, when a direct message comes in, you can say "hey siri, read whatsapp messages" which it does but when he asks "do you want to reply" you say "yes" and then it throws a "there's been a problem message again". So pretty much the only thing you can do with siri and whatsapp is sending a direct message. Totally infuriating. I'm sure CarPlay is now the same as well.

I have reported this to WhatsApp…

They asked for a video, of which I provided..

This is the poor response I received:

Sorry no solution but same problem. I have tried contacting WhatsApp with a detailed description and a screen recording, but I just get automated replies telling me how to enable Siri etc. I have called Apple Support and after talking me through a couple of processes which didn't work, they said to try contacting the app developer (ie WhatsApp). So we are stuck!
