about macbook pro mid 2012

i purchased this device to help me out with my education

but its not supporting or allowing applications like microsoft offices ,zoom and others .

what do i do

If it is running macOS 10.10 as indicated in your equipment profile, you need to update the macOS installed. That should allow Zoom but not Office to be installed. That model Mac will run up to macOS 10.15 "Catalina" but no higher. Current Office versions require macOS 11.X "Big Sur" or higher and your Macbook Pro will not support those.


The workaround for that hardware limitation on an 11-year old computer is to install the open-source productivity suite LibreOffce (https://www.libreoffice.org/discover/libreoffice/). It reads and creates Office compatible documents. It is a well-established, stable, and safe app.
