iPhone Google search in Safari looks off

Help me solve this mystery!

when i search signed into google through the safari app, every search comes up with a bunch of blank looking photos screen capped below.

at the very start of the search it toggles with this split second bizarre looking blue bubble search icon, and then this disappears (also screen capped below)

if I go into the News tab it is also bizarrely blanked out. AND all the tabs for news, image, search etc are completely gone. Also screen capped below. These pics aren’t in order but you get the point.

It’s driving me nuts even weirder, is that when I was signed out after clearing my cache, it worked fine, but when I signed back in… weird.

things I have tried:

clearing the cache in safari

updating and restarting phone.

HI there Rlev8,

We recommend trying a couple of things to isolate the behavior. It looks like you're currently connected to Wi-Fi, try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network, or turning Wi-Fi off and trying over cellular data in an area where you get a strong signal.

Additionally, try changing the search engine for Safari and testing to see if the behavior persists.

Change other Safari settings

You can change other Safari settings in the Settings app.
From the Home Screen or App Library, go to Settings  > Safari, then adjust any of the options. For example:
* Search Engine: Choose the search engine to use when you enter search terms in the search field.
* Privacy & Security: Choose default security features across all websites.
* Downloads: Choose where to save your downloads from Safari.
* Safari Suggestions: Choose whether to allow Siri to suggest websites as you search.

Customize your Safari settings on iPhone

Cheers!

Hi, thank you for trying to help :) none of these methods work. I am suspecting this is an issue with google as it happens on chrome, bing, and safari. Happens on wifi, on data. I now am just using it without signing into google… which in the end is maybe best. Less tracking and all. Would still be curious what this problem even is. It is so odd.
