What is this "start page" you are referring to?

Removing the Login Screen:

You cannot remove the login screen from the macOS.

Do your Part: Inform Apple of this idea. You'd do so by providing Apple Feedback on this.  Apple wont get back to you directly, but the more feedback thy receive from its users, the more likely they will know what their customers prefer, and what options to include in macOS versions to come.

1. Go Here: Feedback - macOS - Apple
2. Select: "Feature Request" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Select: "User Interface" for the "Feedback Area"
4. Comment: on why you want this to be an option, and how you think it can help others.
5. Proceed from there as necessary

Provide an Image:

Please provide a screenshot or a photo of this. IMPORTANT: Remove persona information forms he image by covering it with red rectangles and sue through use of the Photos app.

Go to System Preferences > Users & Groups.

Click the dog picture and select another that you prefer.
