The real problem is not easy to understand from your report, but it sounds like you might have a broken airpod stuck in the charging case. The best suggestion is contact Apple Support and arrange a Genius Bar appointment for hands-on service with an Apple specialist.

There is no reason to throw your AirPods in the trash as suggested by another user unless all the parts are damaged beyond repair. Apple Service can supply replacement parts to repair most individual components.

Get a New Pair:
Having used a cable, these are now damaged. So, trash them at your local eWaste recycling facility (likely a local retailer). Placing them back in your ear, you may get a cut or two. So, it is time for a new pair.

Junk advice. The correct procedure for the OP is to get examined by competent techs and repair as advised.

Opening it Removing Debris from AirPods:

Take this as a learning experience, next time you go about opening these, or removing debris, use a wooden toothpick. So, as long as it is not tightly squeezed in there, you can gently remove it with an extract it with a wooden toothpick. Tap the debris and slowly remove the debris so that it does not tap the edges. If it is tightly squeezed in there, however, then see if you can get this serviced.

Debris Removal:

A. Contacting Apple Support:

Note: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

B. Contacting an AASP:

Also, look into taking it to an AASP(Apple Authorized Service Provider) seeing if they offer service for this.

  1. Go Here: Find Locations - Apple Authorized Reseller
  2. Click: Service & Support
  3. Enter: your location information
  4. See: if there is an AASP nearby
  5. Contact: an AASP that shows up, and find out more about the services that they offer to fix the iPhone
