is a 6s model obsolete soon?

is my iphone 6s model, even though updated going to be obsolete soon?

iPhone 6s, iOS 15

A phone isn't really obsolete until it no longer functions. Such as older phones that only supported 3G networks become instant relics when all carriers shut that service down.


A 6s is somewhat old and will never get another major iOS release. It's stuck on iOS 15.x now and can't be upgraded to iOS 16. How long Apple will provide security updates for it is another question.


But regardless, you can still use your phone, so I personally wouldn't call it obsolete.
