Every time my phone is connected to mt car's Bluetooth, Apple music automatically plays. I've searched online and think I've fixed it, but the solutions never work. It's very frustrating as I don't always want to listen once I get in my car.

Stop music from autoplaying when I get in the car!!!!! Make it stop!!!! How can I turn off autoplay? Nothing on Youtube works, nothing online works. Creating a shortcut works for a few hours, then music starts autoplaying again when I get in the car. There are NO buttons on the Music app (shuffle and repeat buttons don't do anything)to stop this. I have had this issue with 3 Iphones. This is the Iphone 15 ProMax. Shutting off Carplay or Handoff do nothing. There is no point in turning off bluetooth if I can't use my speaker phone when I drive. How can this continue to happen in 2024??

iPhone Autoplays Music over Bluetooth in Car Hello all - Every time I start my car, my iPhone connects to the car via Bluetooth (as it should) and the Music app starts to play the last track played (which it should not). I can view and stop the track playing on the car's Bluetooth app, but on the iPhone the Music app does not appear open so I cannot stop it from playing (I seldom use it except for this issue). How can I stop to this from happening, and why would it happen as described? Note 1: Car is a 2019 Honda Odyssey with updated software. Note 2: When I connect the phone to the car via USB to initiate CarPlay this issue does not occur.

Hello Leshave,

There doesn't appear to be a way to disable music from automatically playing on iPhone while using CarPlay. We recommend reaching out to your car manufacturer to see if you can disable the autoplay functionality on your car stereo. They would be in the best position to help.
