Touch Screen Slow

Hi

The screen on my IPad is not as sensitive as it was before. Is there something that I can do to change this?

Thanks in advance

There are no controls or adjustments for touch screen sensitivity. The most common cause of apparent changes to sensitivity of the iPad touch screen are environmental. Very dry (low humidity) environments tend to cause your skin to dry out - and this will impact the apparent sensitivity of the iPad screen.

At a technical level, your skin/body is an electrical component. The iPad touch-screen doesn’t respond to pressure, but instead senses changes to “capacitance” (an electrical property) of objects (your skin) when it touches the surface. Very dry skin may not be detected.

Similarly, touch sensitivity can be problematic in wet or very humid environments. Wet or damp hands may not be sensed at all.

If you are in a very dry environment, or your have very dry skin, try using a very light (easily absorbed) skin moisturiser.
