iPhone always goes into smart invert mode after restart.

Every time my iPhone is restarted (by me or due to auto-upgrade), it is in "smart invert" mode. I turn smart invert off each time it is in effect. This started in late 2022 on my iPhone 8plus and kept happening after I upgraded to iPhone 14. Multiple upgrades minor and major have not change it. Another oddity is that the background screen image has inverted colors when smart invert is turned off. That image was in normal colors for about 10 years, now it is in normal color only during smart invert.
