Many (but not all) third-party games will allow you to sign-in to an account provided by the Game Developer, your progress and level/score being stored by the Developer’s own server. Some games may instead save information on your device - and have the ability to synchronise between devices using iCloud. Some games may only save progress on the device itself - and have no method at all to synchronise gameplay between your devices.
