Receiving group messages comes in blank

I have recently been receiving iMessages created in a new group chat that are blank. I can see the start of the message in the message app, but when I click it to try to see more of the message it shows the group chat with NO message in it. I am unsure what I am doing wrong here. Please help!

IMessage Text Box Disappears in 1 of my group chats I am only having this issue with one of my group chats. It has been going on for a few weeks now. Randomly I lose my text box and am not able to respond in the group but I can see all the new messages come in. We have tried removing and re-adding me into the group, i keep my phone updated, phone turned on and off, all of that. I have noticed I am able to reply in the group on my iPad but have the same issue on my Macbook. It was suggested to me to do a factory reset. Is that my only option?

iOS Group Messaging with iMessage bug Just updated to iOS 18.1 and it appears to have broken my group iMessaging. In the text box for the group chat I only see ‘Text Message - SMS’. Previously it was showing ‘iMessage’. iMessage to individuals work fine. When people message in the group chat it comes through as individual messages. Have tried restarting and turning iMessage on/off but no luck. Anyone else experience this? Is this an issue on my end or with the other group members? Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.

iMessage not working for group chats iMessage works fine for sending and receiving texts with one person. But, for group chats, I only can receive texts. I cannot send a message, the text box and keyboard don’t even show up. I have the most recent update as of today: 16.0.2. iMessage is on and so is group chats.

Restart the device. That's it.
