Best Screen Protectors and Trackpad Films for MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)

For the past ten years, I've used PowerSupport's anti-glare/matte screen protectors and trackpad films on my MacBook Pros and M1 model MacBook Airs. They're decent and they give what was otherwise a glossy display a nice matte look. I'd also rather have the trackpad cover look worn than the actual trackpad look worn.

Unfortunately, PowerSupport never made these accessories for the MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019), having stopped with the 2018-2020/M1 MacBook Air models, the 2016-2022 13-inch MacBook Pro models and the 2016-2019 15-inch MacBook Pro models.

There's a lot of cheap low-quality stuff of this sort on Amazon. But I haven't found anything close to what PowerSupport had for those other/older MacBook models.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to what to get for both screen protectors (preferably anti-glare/matte) and trackpad film protectors? If it helps, the MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) that I have is a silver model and not a space gray one.

The trackpad is made of GLASS. The idea that your fingertips are going to wear it out is laughable. it does not need any protection.

for an iPhone with a touchscreen, you may need a screen protector, but mostly because you could drop it screen down on a rock. The MacBook Pro display is NOT a touchscreen -- keep you fingers off it. And the display will not open far enough to drop it on a rock.

anything you adhere to the screen can NOT be removed later without also damaging the anti-glare coating on the screen, so you had better love that protector.

Apple recommends against 'fixed' protectors:

nicdanfri I don't have anything to recommend but if you eventually decide to apply anything to a Mac laptop screen, do not close its lid, and consider the application a permanent modification that may also render it ineligible for any authorized repair — should that ever be required.

An external monitor is a much better idea that might solve all those problems:
