Favorited Emojis

I’ve always disliked the “frequently used” section in the emoji glossary, as it’s a pain when using a specific emoji for that one time you needed it, then seeing it pop up in that section, even though you’ve only used it once. There’s a few other reasons I dislike this feature that I won’t go into further depth in, but I’m just wondering… is there any sort of production behind a “favorites” emoji section, because it shouldn’t take a decade and a half creating something so simple. There’s also been mass media wanting this functionality, so why not just make one, since the people want it anyways? Please give me some information regarding this topic!
