Transferring files on migration assistant from a 2010 iMac to a Mac Studio 280.000 files transferred via Wi-Fi over a 2 hour period and then it seems to have Stopped and has been like this for around two hours any suggestions as I cannot get a call from Support for 10 hours so I don’t know if I should turn them off or leave them on or if there is any way I can get it started again!

Likely you'll have to start over after you run Disk Utility's Disk1st Aid on both drives, though I have seen huge gaps in movement of the progress bar.
NEVER EVER use Wi-Fi to migrate, it will fail about 100% of the time. Please read the information in the link below and follow to the letter for a successful and fast migration.
Thx for your reply Apple support called today and there was quite a few things that hadn’t migrated. So hopefully sorted now!
If you follow the steps in the link I provided MA will migrate everything it is supposed to. If you deviate, well it may or may not work.
Migration Assistant stopped mid transfer.
