Photo booth video freezing

Photo booth video always freezes before starting the recording and when I stop recording, the video file is always corrupted - with no audio, frozen video frame, and displayed as many days long. This has been an issue ever since I bought my Macbook air (Monterey, M2 chip) and I have plenty of storage. I really need help to fix this. Thanks.

If you're having trouble with Photo Booth freezing, you'll want to try creating a new user on your Mac to see if this same issue is happening in there. Add a user or group on Mac

Testing that will help narrow down what may be causing this and what options you have.
