WhatsApp has not been working for me since yesterday. The app opens for a fraction of a second and then shuts down. Cannot send or receive messages/calls. Have tried everything from rebooting to deleting and reinstalling the app to resetting network settings. Anybody else face this issue?

Even my iPhone 13 whatsapp is not opening, tried reinstalling, forced restart stil it doesn’t work. Whatsapp screen pops up but in few seconds it automatically closes down . How to resolve this issue???

I have exactly the same problem with iPhone 11 Pro. Tried all suggested re-boots/installs, nothing works. Apple and WhatsApp have no answers and don't seem to care. As several people are having the same problem, it can't just be individual phones...................................

Have uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times.Tried the forced restart just now .. that too did not help. Mailed WhatsApp support this morning .. they have checked and believe that there is no problem. Nobody else seems to be facing this here, so think it might be phone specific.

In my case the issue was resolved by Apple helpline. It is not a WhatsApp problem, it is an Apple problem that seems to affect largely iPone 11 Pros. It was fixed by the Apple technician taking control of my screen and remotely changing settings before a new install of the app.
First, try a forced restart. If that doesn't work, un-install and re-install the app. If that doesn't work, contact the app developer for help with their software.

• Press and quickly release the volume down button
• Press and hold the side button.
• When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

There have been a couple of posts in here about WhatsApp not opening. You are not alone.
I suspect the WhatsApp app itself is the culprit but if you think it's the phone, make an appointment at the Genius Bar to have it diagnosed.

Same issue here also after downloading 17.1.1 update 😡 !!! Had to do full hard reset, taking backup of only contacts, msgs, and files on iCloud, rest all applications deleted. And then had to do setup from the scratch. What a pain it is to bring back your phone to normal working… had to change the credentials with bank, other business software etc..
Thanx. Will do that. In the meantime, keeping my fingers crossed in the hope that somebody has been able to fix this.
This is not an issue for Apple to resolve, this is something the WhatsApp developers need to fix.
