Hi, i have a macbook pro 13 inch of early 2015 with i5 processor and 8 GB of RAM with os Big Sur installed in it. The performance has become very laggy even when browsing and running simple apps like office. Is it better if i downgrade to mojave or catalina?

To directly answer your question, downgrading macOS is generally impracticable and may not solve anything anyway. Determine if your Mac's hardware is working first, then we can move on to determining if the poor performance is something you can fix.
