Are “No Ads” apps shared in Family Sharing? How do you determine if an app is shareable?

Purchased a “No Ads” app for a word game we both play. We use Family Sharing; I have access to the “No Ads” and no ads appear in my game. My husband does not. Are these types of apps not shareable?

Hi there Boz2023,

If a certain app purchase is not being shared with your family group, look over this information from If you can't find your family's shared content to see if this is expected or not:

Check if an app is shareable
1. Go to the App Store.
2. Find the app.
3. Scroll down to the Supports section and make sure that Family Sharing is listed.
Some apps might not be enabled for Family Sharing. If you purchased one of these apps, you can see it in your purchase history, but your family members won't be able to see or redownload it.

Learn about the types of content you can share with your family using purchase sharing

If this app is shareable and this continues to occur, then follow the steps in the other sections of that article since they can resolve this behavior.

Cheers!
