My wife and I can print wirelessly with our Macs, but we can’t print from any of our IOS devices. They can’t find an AirPrint printer. I can’t seem to figure out what’s going on… any ideas?

My wife and I can print from our Macs, but none of our IOS devices can find an AirPrint printer. The WiFi connection to the printer is fine, no trouble printing from our Macs… anybody got any ideas? (Printer is an Epson WF-7710).

Hi,

The Epson WF-7710 is listed as a supported AirPrint model.

In similar cases, and if all settings are OK, it is often worth testing a full power-cycle sequence (do not forget the router): Power off the router, the printer, the iPhones, the Macs, and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the iPhones and the Macs. Finally, power on all other devices/computers.

Troubleshooting AirPrint:

Reset the Printing System:

I had the same issue with my Epson Eco Tank Printers - Reseting the Printing System fixed it, as the drivers were installed in an instant.

What to do:

  1. Go To: System Preferences
  2. Select: Printers & Scanners
  3. Right-Click: on this pinter
  4. Select: Reset printing system...
  5. Click: Reset button
