Automator Watch Me Do OSStatus error -50 only present during loop action (workaround included)

Note: If anyone from the future is running into the same problem, the workaround I came up with that works for a few use cases I tested is to create another simpler Watch Me Do action right before the Loop action. Mine is just a single click of the mouse, and it resolves all issues I've run into with it failing when introducing Loop.

I ran into the following error while trying to create some simple mouse commands to clear some repetitious actions only available on a website. The original cycle runs fine, but once I introduce the loop action, it fails.

I found the issue online in a few spots, like this thread (What does Automator error -50 mean? - Apple Community) but I did not see any solutions outside of "Use ____ instead of Automator."

Does anyone know if the actual cause here is known? The workaround I came up with resolves my specific blocker, but it would be nice to know if the legwork of isolating the potential cause(s) has already been done before I invest more time into this long-lived oddity.

Thanks,

JH
