Garageband mic playback problems with vocal presets

I have a Rode NT1A and it usually works great in garageband, i can record with it using my mixer with little to no delay or problems, but when i use a vocal preset i made it glitches every so often. The preset has 8 plugins on it and glitches even when im not using monitoring. The glitch is a loud white noise that mutes my actual audio being put into the mic and just turns into pure fuzz for a random amount of time for seemingly no reason. I'll play back the voice clip and it just goes back and forth between the actual audio i recorded, and random white noise that didnt exist at all. Anyone with a similar problem or idea to fix it? (also it doesnt actually change the audio file its just in playback, so the wave forms look the same and when i replay a clip that was white noise, sometimes it will sound normal, vice versa.)
