Why are my read receipts on for one person even though it says that they are off?

You can disable/enable read receipts for a single contact on your iPhone by following these steps:
- Open the Messages app on your iPhone and tap on the conversation with the contact you want to enable read receipts for.
- Tap on the person's name or phone number at the top of the conversation to open their contact information.
- Toggle on the switch for "Send Read Receipts" to enable read receipts for this contact.
