On ipad it says pairing unsuccessful Make sure iPhone 12 Pro Max is turned on and in range and ready to pair.
on iPhone it says pairing unsuccessful IPad Air 3rd generation is not supported.
Both running iOS16.4 up to date.

The message is accurate. While there are many activities that require Bluetooth to be turned on, those activities will not require Bluetooth pairing in the traditional sense. What are you hoping to accomplish?
