I have an iPhone XS - when I want to start a new text and I go to the little icon that shows paper and pen, I type in a name - let's say Josh and two names appear. One in totally unfamiliar to me and not in my contacts.
How do I delete this name??

If you search for the name inside the Messages app, does the unknown name show that a message between the two of you? If you do, try deleting the message, restart your iPhone and test the issue again.
If there isn’t another person whom you’ve shared a message thread with, or deleting the thread and restarting didn’t stop the unknown person from appearing again, please contact Apple Support to look into this further with you: Get Support
