Cannot Save Word Documents I am running on a 16 in MacBook Pro, 2021 and Sonoma 14.0. Over the last few days I cannot save my word documents. I have Autosave checked and it keeps turning off. I have lost HOURS of work TWICE. When the autosave function turns off by itself, it doesn't even let me save the document at all. I get an error from word that says "A file error has occurred. (Praxis DRAFT 20231009.docx)". The text in Parenthesis is the title of my document. It will not allow me to turn on my one drive or allow me to save to the documents version on my Mac hard drive OR my icloud. I read to try to save it with a different file name, which worked as a .doc, but then it deleted all of my formatting for my citations. Earlier I uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft 365 and used MacPaw to clean out any erroneous files and rebooted. It was working fine for about 30 minutes and back to square one. I'm at my wits end. I'm tempted to go out and get a Window's computer at this point, but all of my references for my dissertation are on my Mac icloud. HELP!

Files won't save after migration Just used Migration App from 2019 Macbook Air to new 2022 Macbook Air. All seemed correct until tried to save files on new laptop. Makes no difference ... xcel or word....'save' or 'save as' is unavailable. Ideas?

Word 365 Unable to Rename File Latest version of Word (16.80) , latest version of Sonoma (14.2). Apple silicon MacBook Pro. Unable to rename files from within Word when using iCloud+ drive for Desktop & Documents folders. A word file in Downloads folder (which is not synced to iCloud) once opened can be renamed in Word. Word has Full Disk Access in settings, but still is unable to rename files that are synced to iCloud. Message: "Word cannot complete the save due to a file permission error." appears first, followed by a second dialog box: "This file can't be renamed now. Please try again later." Again, in the finder I can rename the file and finder immediately updates the new name to iCloud. How to grant permission to Word to rename files that on my MBP and located in folders that are synced to iCloud+?

Microsoft no longer supports older versions of Microsoft Office. Check the Microsoft website to see what versions of Word support your new operating system then download that version of Office.
