External backup drive permission errors on Mac Ventura

Hello Community

After long research i wasnt able to solve this, so i hope someone can help me. I made the Update to Ventura and since then been facing alot of problems, especially with my external drives and permissions.

I cant download anymore to this drive, in a youtube video it explains i have to tick the option "ignore ownership on this volume", which doesnt seem to be available for backup volumes. Can i just revert the volume to its normal state? I dont want it to be a backup volume if that means i cant download files on it or anything. It always gives me "insufficient permission" errors. Also when trying to extract files on it.

I already checked the permissions of the drive, and set them to "Read and Write" so this cant be the problem. Any other steps i can try to fix this volume?

Thanks so much in advance!

Is the User attempting to Download Directly to an External Drive ?

Is the External Drive using for making Time Machine Backups us the Time Machine Backup Utility ?

If Yes to both the above >> Time Machine Marks the External Drive as Read Only

In which case - this drive can not be used for the Download from You Tube or another Other Purpose except from Time Machine Backups.

Get another External Drive for the purposes of Downloading from You Tube
