Adding digits to one-touch passcodes

I updated to iOS 16.4 on both of my iphone 11. Now when I call in to a conference call that has a passcode, when the phone auto dials my passcode, it duplicates some of the numbers so that the conference call system thinks the code is wrong. For example, if the code is 12345678, it dials 122334556678899. Cannot figure how to fix this. Prior to the upgrade to 16.4, it was working fine. This problem now occurs on both of my iPhone 11s - my personal and my business phones.

It sounds like you may be experiencing an issue with the way the iPhone is dialing conference call passcodes. One possible explanation is that the iPhone is sending DTMF tones (the sounds that correspond to the numbers you press on a phone) too quickly or too slowly, which could cause the conference call system to misinterpret the passcode.

To resolve this issue, you could try entering the passcode manually, rather than relying on the iPhone to auto-dial it.
