Update Payment Information badge won’t go away

I had a failed payment which prompted the badge. Once there was money in the account, I went to the update payment information area, even went into my debit card details and deleted a number and added back and saved it. The badge remains. I saw the suggestion to log out of my Apple ID, but that’s such a hassle getting applepay set back up with all my cards and stuff. I live paycheck to paycheck, payments are going to get declined regularly and I don’t want to have to deal with logging in and out of my Apple ID to get rid of that annoying badge every time. Help!
