somehow the health app that is automatically placed on the phone was deleted. I keep trying to re download it but it only allows me to view it not download anything. What can I do?
If it opens then it has not been deleted. And the health app cannot be deleted on newer versions of iOS, so you probably removed it from your Home screen, but not from the phone. Go to the App Library (the last page of the Home screen), tap on it and choose to add it to the Home screen, or drag it to where you want it.
